The new Diary of a Wimpy Book has arrived! Stop by the Information Center to enter a drawing to be the first student to be able to check out this book! Drawing will happen on Friday, November 17th!

  • On November 2nd, the author Cynthia Lord will be visiting MVMS! She is the author of the book Rules, which is our “One Book One School” read aloud choice. Students will attend grade level presentations by her. Small groups of students will also get to have lunch with her.

New Graphic Novels Have Arrived!

Thanks to the Fall Book Fair, we were able to order some new graphic novels! Stop by the Info Center to check them out! Some of the new graphic novels that we now have are:

  • The Cleopatra Series
  • Jake Maddox Sports Series

  • Brand new set of Raina Telgemeier graphic novels

One Book One School and Author Visit

Currently, all students and content area teachers are all reading one book together. They are reading the book "Rules" by Cynthia Lord. This week we started a Trivia Contest about this book. Students can answer the trivia questions for a chance to win a prize. At the end of October, all homerooms will be participating in a door decorating contest to welcome the author, Cynthia Lord on November 2nd! Below you will find attachments for the author visit schedule, the trivia form, and the door decorating directions.
